Phase I · Observe

Research

We map how your system actually works: data flows, decision points, bottlenecks, costs. You get a documented model in weeks.

Phase II · Intervene

Engineering

We design and build the solution ourselves, whatever form it takes: software, data pipelines, decision models, redesigned processes. Delivered working, in your operations.

Phase III · Equilibrium

Strategy

We deploy, measure and hand over. Success is one number agreed before we start: hours saved, errors cut, cost per operation reduced.

03 · Expertise

Where we work

Enterprise knowledge management, RAG readiness, decision systems, workflow automation. Built end to end: model selection, architecture, deployment. Recent build: an AI matching engine on Mistral models, React, Supabase and AWS, from zero to production.
Feasibility studies and working prototypes. One research question in, one tested prototype out, with the data to decide whether to invest further or stop.
Market entry, build-vs-buy, cost and capacity models. We forecast, we don't predict: scenarios carry explicit probabilities and timeframes, every assumption is stated with its confidence level and the cheapest way to test it, and estimates are updated as evidence comes in. Risk is managed before budgets are committed, not explained after.

Every model, assumption and decision is documented and handed over. Your team runs and extends the solution without calling us back.

Return on investment

Each mission is scoped against one measurable target set before day one. If the outcome can't be measured, we don't start. Where relevant, we structure the work so its results can support a funding application or an investment case, public or private.

The person who does the work

Yavuz Sarikaya

Founder and systems designer. Yavuz designs and ships products built on large language models: RAG pipelines, data infrastructure, from architecture to deployment. He works with research teams on applied R&D, from problem framing to proof of concept, and designed the pedagogical architecture of an EU-backed AI training programme (ULB / sustAIn.brussels).

When this site says we, it means him, leading every mission personally, and the academic and industry experts, PhDs, ML researchers and engineers he brings in when the work calls for it.

Privacy notice (GDPR)

Data we process. This site sets no cookies, uses no analytics and runs no tracking scripts. The only personal data we process is what you send us by email: your name, email address and the content of your message.

Purpose and legal basis. Your data is used solely to answer your request and, where a mission follows, to prepare and perform the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to professional enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). It is never used for marketing and never sold or shared with third parties.

Retention. Correspondence is kept for the duration of our exchange and up to 24 months after the last contact, unless a contract or legal obligation requires longer retention.

Recipients. Data is stored with our email provider within the European Union. No transfers outside the EU are made by us.

Third-party fonts. Typefaces are currently loaded from Google Fonts, which transmits your IP address to Google LLC (US). We are moving to self-hosted fonts to remove this transfer.

Your rights. You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, or object to processing at any time by writing to contact@umran.be. We answer within 30 days.

Complaints. You may lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (APD/GBA), Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
